Young Artist Initiative - Celebrating Art and Technology

Latvia-born singer and model Viktoria Modesta

As a lover of Art & Technology, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to check out Young Artist Initiative's latest installment. This month, countless local Artist's took up the challenge of addressing Technology's role and impact on the Arts and our constantly evolving Culture. The Artist's blended visuals and metaphorical elements - in order to present a personal representation of the matter through their selective mediums and produced interesting and colorful works of Art.

Cafeina Wynwood Lounge provided a beautiful garden like setting in which the Hubby and I had a blast going around speculating about the inspiration for each work of art. Though we disagreed on certain pieces, it was nice to let our imaginations take flight together. Out of the corner of my eye I caught a glimpse of a drone with a paintbrush in hand steadily striking a white canvas over and over again while dance music and smoke filled the night.

But it wasn't just dance music - there was a varied selection of musicians and live performers entertaining the crowd throughout the night. I'm going to be totally honest...i'm not the biggest fan of Wynwood Club music. It sounds the same everywhere you go and i've even heard club owners admit that they play a certain type of music to not attract a certain type of crowd - which I find insulting and the results are empty venues. So when I found something I could actually VIBE to, I had to capture that moment!

But Musicians weren't the only ones being celebrated that night in the Music spectrum of the arts.  As we were making our way to check out the ATOMIK painting we came across THE coolest thing I got to see that night...the Subpac

The Subpac is a cool new product that can be worn as a backpack and it enhances the musical experience for the wearer by allowing them to feel the music and it's quite a hit with Producers, DJ's and others in the music industry.

Subpac - focused on enhancing the way everyone experiences music - has recently joined forces with "The Muse Seek Project" in order to bring the musical experience to deaf children in Dominican Republic and soon around the world!

"As a race, we live in a continuum of constant evolution. Countless minds have brought forth change to consciousness and culture and have moved our societies forward, restructuring the dynamics of our generations."

The line between Art & Technology have become so blurred and beautifully fused together to create a NEW generation of fearless artists set on changing the world, everyday life, how we see it and how we live it. Technology may have started as a tool meant to make us more efficient - but it has transformed into a force that continues to usher us and helped us transition into a new way of life.

Check out the NEW Music video by "bionic" pop singer Viktoria Modesta! I love how she uses Art and Technology as a way to inspire others and change the way we view people with disabilities.

I am ready for this NEW World.

Are you?
